Transform your smile today, pay later

The total cost of dental veneers depends mainly on the type of material you choose, how many teeth you transform, and whether you’re combining treatment with other cosmetic procedures.

Veneers at The Smiles Studio in Hampshire are priced per tooth, so you only pay for the number of veneers you receive. Dental finance is also available for patients who want to pay monthly for treatments costing upwards of £1,000.

How many veneers do you actually need?

We’ll be honest. Not everyone needs 8 or even 10 veneers.

The right number for a smile makeover depends on how many teeth show when you smile and which teeth need changing.

For example, we can improve some teeth with bonding, whitening, or veneers rather than concealing the whole tooth with a veneer, so we can combine treatments to achieve your dream results.

Here’s what we would typically recommend:

  • 1 veneer: One discoloured, chipped or unusually shaped tooth.
  • 2-4 veneers: A small group of front teeth needing improved proportions.
  • 6 veneers: Often enough to cover the most visible central part of a smile.
  • 8 veneers: May suit patients with a wider smile where more teeth are visible.

I’ve had regular hygienist appointments at Smiles Studio over the last 7 years and with Juhi for the past 3. She is extremely good and long may she continue her work at the practice, for as long as I require treatment.

I’ve been having treatment done and today I was in for my Implant operation. I was incredibly nervous but I have to say it was fine it was actually less uncomfortable than some of the other work I have had done. Dr Mahesh Nagpal was great and put me at ease with what was about to happen, and making sure I was ok. Overall so far the treatment and communication I’ve had done, and the results I’ve seen are fantastic. I would highly recommend Smiles Dental surgery all the staff have been great.

Why choose us for veneers?

At The Smiles Studio clinics in Hampshire, patients can preview their proposed veneer results before treatment begins.

Before preparation, we can create a wax-up and temporary mock-up so you can assess the length, width, shape, position, symmetry, bite, and overall look.

Plus, you can remain in greater control during the digital smile design process, making changes and any adjustments to how you want your future smile to look.

That means you’re not paying thousands for a new smile and only discovering what it looks like at the final fitting.

Other benefits include:

Porcelain vs composite veneer costs

Porcelain is more expensive because a dental technician custom-manufactures each restoration outside the mouth. On the other hand, the dentist sculpts composite directly onto your teeth and completes it in one appointment, making it much more cost-effective. But because the material is not as luxurious as porcelain, it often costs around a third as much.

Compare the materials to understand the difference in cost:

What does the extra cost of porcelain buy?

The difference isn’t just the material. The additional cost covers:

  • Individually designed
  • Manufactured for your exact tooth
  • Colour and translucency matched
  • Made by a dental technician
  • Highly stain resistant
  • Designed for a long-term result
  • Planned around your bite and smile

Alongside this, porcelain veneers are much more durable, lasting up to 20 years in some cases with the right aftercare. They also mimic natural enamel and reflect light the same way natural teeth do.

Are cheaper composite veneers better value?

They can be, depending on what you want to achieve.

Composite may make more sense if:

  • You want to spend less initially
  • You only need subtle improvements
  • Preserving untouched enamel is your main priority
  • You want same-day treatment
  • You’re comfortable with future polishing/repairs

Neither material is automatically “best”. The right one depends on your teeth and priorities.

Your veneer dentist

After training at Imperial College London and Barts and The London, where Dr Jayesh Nagpal (GDC 310043) graduated with honours, he completed advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry training with Dr Chris Orr and has been working with veneers for almost a decade.

His approach focuses on natural-looking treatment that preserves as much healthy tooth structure as possible, making him the go-to for conservative treatments and subtle makeovers.
