The Process

Titanium implants, acting as artificial roots, are inserted into the jaw to establish a sturdy foundation for your dentures. Depending on your treatment requirements, you may need between two and four implants per denture. This procedure is typically performed under local anaesthetic and is relatively straightforward. The implants will need a healing period of three to six months to fully integrate with the jawbone, providing a solid base for the new teeth.
During the initial surgery, temporary teeth are often fitted to act as placeholders until your permanent dentures are ready. These temporary teeth help maintain both appearance and function while the implants are healing.

Once the implants have integrated with the jawbone, abutments are attached to each implant. These abutments, available in materials such as titanium, gold, or porcelain, can be standard or custom-designed to meet your specific needs, offering a range of aesthetic results.
