Your orthodontic consultation
Your initial orthodontic consultation will assess your smile and bite to determine which treatment is appropriate, whether clear aligners or fixed braces. To assess the severity of your malocclusion, we’ll conduct a detailed exam and take 3D scans of your teeth, allowing you to preview your expected results before treatment begins. You’ll also receive accurate timelines and costs.

How long does teeth straightening take?

Will I be able to see my results before starting?
We use the iTero scanner, which creates a 3D preview of your expected results, so you can see your final smile before treatment begins.
Are clear aligners as effective as braces?
Clear aligners are more effective for mild-to-moderate cases, while fixed braces may be recommended for more complex tooth movements and severe bite issues.
What happens after treatment finishes?
You’ll need to wear retainers to keep your teeth in their new position following treatment.

Is there parking available?
- Chandler’s Ford: Free, limited parking is available at the rear of our dental practice.
- Lymington: The practice does not have a car park. Street parking is available on Eastern Road free of charge and is a 5-minute walk from the practice (please ensure you have enough time to find alternative parking if spaces are unavailable). Paid parking is available at the following locations: St Thomas Street Car Park (5-minute walk) and Barfields Car Park (8-minute walk).
What are your opening hours?
Monday-Friday: 08:30 – 17:00 for both practices.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Saturday is by appointment only. We’re open till 5 pm every weeknight.
