Guide to dental implant costs

Everything patients need to understand about how implants are priced:

UK average cost of dental implants

Dental implant costs across the UK range from £2,500 to £3,500 per implant, on average. Costs vary from clinic to clinic depending on location, expertise and types of systems used.

Dental implant treatment typically takes 4-5 months from start to finish. You will pay as the treatment progresses, with the fees spread over the course of treatment.

Dr Nagpal will clearly explain the treatment and the payment required, but in most cases, you typically pay 50% of the treatment fee approximately 4-5 months after placement of the implant, which means even if you do not select the finance option, the fee for the implant placement will be spread over a period of time for your convenience.

For example, with full-mouth implants, you’d pay £9,999 upfront for your implants, surgery, and temporary bridge, and then £5,000/£7,500 around 4/5 months later.

Dental implants are not covered by the NHS. Patients will need to opt for private dental treatment with an implant dentist, such as Dr Nagpal.

Dental implants cost more than dentures or dental bridges in the short term because they are the only fixed prosthetic option that can last for decades and restore up to 90% of biting force. Rather than just replacing the tooth, they replace the root, offering better stability, comfort, and appearance, but requiring more skill and surgical planning.

The cost is affected by the number of implants needed, the brand and material of the implants, and the dentist’s expertise. Additionally, pre-procedure costs can include a hygiene appointment, a bone graft, or a sinus lift (if it’s found that you’re not immediately suitable). Same-day implants are also more expensive because they include immediately loaded temporary teeth.

What your costs include

Dental implants are a reliable and suitable option for all types of tooth loss.

As the only fixed replacement option that delivers exceptional stability, they can restore up to 90% of natural chewing power for multiple decades.

Our dental implant costs, starting from £2,500 (including the new-patient £500 discount), are fully inclusive of your prosthetic, placement and appointments.
